What happens

At Pond Inlet in Canada's Arctic, at the edge of the sea ice, long spiral tusks poke up out of the water: narwhals, the real sea unicorns! Snow geese fly over, a polar bear is watched from very far away, and a ringed seal pops up through its breathing hole right under the ball.

Fun facts

  • A narwhal's horn is really a long tooth.
  • Ringed seals keep breathing holes open in the ice all winter.
  • Polar bears are watched from far away by guides.
