The Glass Lake 🫧

What happens

On Lake Baikal in Russia, the ice is so clear the kids can see fish swimming under their feet. Blue ice shards line the shore, white frozen bubbles stack up like pancakes, and a round-faced Baikal seal with huge eyes pops up through a hole and steals the ball.

Fun facts

• Baikal seals are the only seals in the world that live only in fresh water.
• Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world.
• Frozen bubbles in the ice look like stacks of white pancakes.
