What happens

On the Pampas of Argentina, two little owls pop up out of a hole in the ground and bob their heads at the ball. Bunny-like maras nibble the grass, a rhea races off with the ball zig-zagging like a soccer player, and gauchos (cowboys of the pampas) ride in a ring.

Fun facts

  • Burrowing owls sometimes move into old burrows dug by other animals.
  • Rheas are big running birds that can't fly.
  • Gauchos are the cowboys of the pampas.
