The Last Wild Horses 🐴

What happens

In Hustai National Park, Mongolia, stocky little horses with spiky stand-up manes trot over the green hills: takhi, the last truly wild horses. Marmots pop up, red deer graze near a ger, vultures circle, and two stallions play-fight while the ball bounces between them.

Fun facts

• Takhi once disappeared from the wild and were brought back to Mongolia from zoos.
• Takhi have short manes that stand straight up.
• Mongolian families live in round tents called gers.
