What happens
On Yakushima island in Japan, in a mossy forest of ancient cedars, red-faced macaques and little Yakushika deer are best friends: a monkey drops fruit and a deer waits underneath to catch it. Then the monkey drops the ball instead and the deer takes it home!

- Yakushima's oldest cedar trees may be thousands of years old.
- Deer follow the monkeys to eat the fruit they drop.
- Japanese macaques have bright red faces.
