Ponies, Donkeys & the Piggy Acorn Hunt 🐷

What happens

In England's New Forest, ponies and donkeys stroll right down the village road. A pony blocks the traffic, a donkey stands in a shop doorway, and it's acorn season, so pigs are loose in the forest and snuffle the ball like a giant acorn.

Fun facts

• In autumn, pigs are allowed into the New Forest to eat acorns, a tradition called pannage.
• New Forest ponies roam free and walk right through the villages.
• Barn owls fly without making a sound.
